LAKE POINT CLINIC

TERMS OF SERVICE

Lake Point Clinic is a privately owned and operated wellness clinic located in Ontario, Canada. The clinic is owned and operated by a Registered Nurse holding a Master of Nursing (MN) degree and certification in acupuncture from McMaster University. All clinical services are delivered within the practitioner’s regulated scope of practice under the oversight of a licensed Medical Director (MD) as required by Ontario law.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using the Lake Point Clinic website or booking any of our wellness services. By accessing our website or scheduling an appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Scope of Practice & Practitioner Credentials

Lake Point Clinic is owned and operated by a Registered Nurse (RN) holding:

  • A Master of Nursing (MN) degree;
  • Certification in acupuncture from McMaster University; and
  • Active registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).

IV Infusion Therapy

Intravenous (IV) wellness infusion therapy is performed by the RN practitioner within the authorized scope of nursing practice as defined under the Nursing Act, 1991 (Ontario) and CNO professional practice standards. All IV therapy protocols are reviewed, authorized, and overseen by Lake Point Clinic’s MD Medical Director in compliance with the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 (RHPA) and applicable Ontario regulations.

Acupuncture Services

Acupuncture is provided by the RN practitioner pursuant to her McMaster University certification and in accordance with the standards of practice governing acupuncture in Ontario. Acupuncture services are delivered safely within the practitioner’s documented competencies and relevant college standards.

Medical Director Oversight

In accordance with Ontario regulatory requirements, Lake Point Clinic operates under the medical oversight of a licensed Medical Doctor (MD) serving as Medical Director. The Medical Director reviews and authorizes clinical protocols and provides regulatory oversight as required. The involvement of the Medical Director does not establish a physician–patient relationship between the Medical Director and any client of Lake Point Clinic.

Clients are encouraged to consult with their own primary care provider before beginning any new wellness program, particularly if they have pre-existing medical conditions or are taking prescription medications.

2. Appointment Terms

Lake Point Clinic endeavors to provide you with an unhurried, attentive clinical experience. The following session durations are provided as general guidelines:

  • Initial Appointments: Approximately 60 minutes, including health history review, clinical assessment, and service delivery.
  • Follow-Up Appointments: Approximately 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the service(s) selected and your individual clinical needs.

Please note that on rare occasions a session may run longer than anticipated due to an unforeseen clinical circumstance or complication requiring additional attention. Lake Point Clinic appreciates your understanding and patience in these instances, as client safety and quality of care are always our first priority.

Clients are asked to arrive on time for their scheduled appointments. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session or rescheduling at the discretion of the practitioner.
